Loading the predictions in QGIS

Adding the ForestForesight Tile Service in QGIS

  1. Open QGIS and start a new project

  2. In the Browser panel, right-click on "ArcGIS REST Servers" and select "New Connection"

  3. Enter a name for the connection (e.g., "ForestForesight Predictions")

  4. Paste this URL: https://tiles.arcgis.com/tiles/RTK5Unh1Z71JKIiR/arcgis/rest/services/ForestForesight_predictions/MapServer

  5. Click "OK" to save the connection

  6. The tile service will appear under ArcGIS REST Servers in your Browser panel

  7. Double-click or drag the layer into your map canvas to add it

Adding the ForestForesight Feature Service in QGIS

  1. In the Browser panel, right-click on "ArcGIS REST Servers" again and select "New Connection"

  2. Enter a name (e.g., "ForestForesight High Risk Zones")

  3. Paste this URL: https://services1.arcgis.com/RTK5Unh1Z71JKIiR/arcgis/rest/services/Forest_Foresight_predictions_zones/FeatureServer

  4. Click "OK" to save the connection

  5. Expand the new connection in the Browser panel

  6. Double-click or drag the feature layer into your map canvas

Both services will maintain their original styling and attributes. The tile service provides a fast-loading raster view of the risk predictions, while the feature service allows you to query and analyze the high-risk zones as vector data.
