Loading the predictions in ArcGIS

Accessing ForestForesight Datasets in ArcGIS Online/Portal

  1. Log into your ArcGIS Online account

  2. Click the "Map" button to create a new web map

  3. Click "Add" and select "Browse Layers"

  4. In the search bar, type "ForestForesight"

  5. From the results, you can choose between:

    • Forest Risk Prediction Map (raster layer showing risk levels)

    • High Risk Areas (polygon layer highlighting critical zones)

Accessing ForestForesight Datasets in ArcGIS Pro:

  1. Open ArcGIS Pro and create a new map or open an existing project

  2. Click the "Add Data" button in the Map tab

  3. Select "Portal" as your data source

  4. In the search field, enter "ForestForesight"

  5. The search results will display:

    • Prediction Risk Map (detailed raster analysis)

    • High Risk Areas (polygon boundaries)

  6. Select your desired layer and click "Add" to include it in your map

Both datasets are updated monthly and include metadata describing the analysis methods and data sources. The prediction risk map provides continuous risk values, while the high risk areas layer highlights regions exceeding critical risk thresholds for easier visualization and analysis.
